Innimond Village

Pet Friendly

Kingdom of spectacular walks, Innimond offers magnificent views, sometimes even of Mt-Blanc. Mid-mountain town having preserved its authentic appearance, the 400-year-old lime tree watches over the surroundings from the church square.

Innimond covers the highest part between the Rhône and the ridge, with 900 to 1217 m of altitude. The village is bordered along its entire eastern length by the Cha mountain, behind which hides the Mollard de Don, the highest point of the ridge hike. From this summit, we discover a panoramic view going from the basin of Belley to Mont-Blanc.

On the southern slope of the mountain, a road leads to the Col du Petit Perthuis (1000 m) where an orientation table was installed in 1985. Paragliding take-off site and pleasant picnic spot, it is possible to follow the old fitness trail to the Croix du Rocher.

Also worth discovering is the tithe, a pedestal once occupied by a priory of which only the chapel, now a church, remains. A Sully still has its place on the top of the path that leads to the church. Planted in a corner of the old cemetery, losing its old bark and sprouting from the inside by many intertwined trunks. The Sully are trees planted under the magistracy of the minister of Henri IV, intended to shelter the assemblies of the villagers held at the end of the mass to deal with the affairs of the parish.
