A little history ----
The occupation of this strategic site dates back to the XNUMXth century.
At the time of the Delphino-Savoyard wars, this castle commanded those of Allymes and Saint Denis en Bugey. It is difficult today to measure its magnitude. However, it is considered to have been one of the most important medieval castles in the department.
The remains of the old town are in the forest sector and difficult to access. To be reserved for a public in good health. Be careful.
