From Perouges to Bugey
Different points of view allow you to enjoy the view of the water lilies of the marsh. A belvedere provides information on the site's biodiversity. A bench facing the explanation station literally offers a "frame" for your contemplation or your photos!
Lake of glacial origin, Lac de Millieu was shaped by man to create ditches for fishing. The Vernay marsh offers its wet meadows to be observed from a belvedere where a panel and an audio device allow you to understand this site.
The site hosts a diverse and remarkable fauna, including many protected species. Walks and activities are offered from time to time by the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels de l'Ain.
Continue your way to discover the picturesque village of Lhuis nearby, its listed Romanesque church but also all its small local producers (wines, jams, fruits, cheeses...). 1 hour approximately.
Take advantage of the belvedere on the lake for a picnic, before continuing the walk to the charming village of Lhuis.
