Reading the trail signs will teach you more about the river and its resurgences, about the old mill and the nearby Charabotte waterfall.

Your itinerary

1

The start

From the body of water near the municipal campsite, turn left towards the barrier. Go along the edge of the river going up towards a wooden bridge which leads back to the edges of the body of water.
2

trail access

Continue to the right, passing the body of water, crossing an expanse of fields to arrive at a lock with a bridge crossing the river again. Take the slight climb towards the path in the forest. Follow the path straight ahead, without straying from the path.
3

Head to the mill

Follow the path straight ahead, without straying from the path. Pass a steel bridge (which goes to the left towards the departmental road) to stay straight on the path. Passage in front of the ruins of a mill wheel. Continue straight until you come to the old building of the Charabotte mill.
4

Hamlet of Charabotte

Cross the bridge (picnic tables opposite). Continue on the paved road to go up to the hamlet of Charabotte. In the hamlet, go down again in the hairpin bend along the national road.
5

return by the path

At the height of the steel bridge, cross the bridge to follow again the portion of the path by which you came (to avoid the approaches to the busy road). Return to the body of water and straight on to the car park.
