Round of the Grangeons

The "Round" is a key event in the town of Ambérieu-en-Bugey. A true festive and convivial moment, since 1999 it has brought together an average of more than 2000 participants: 1500 walkers, 500 runners, on a variety of routes, including the famous round of the Ramequin, a cheese specialty from Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey, made and offered at the tasting by the La Côtière dairy, partner of the event.

Heritage of the Bugey wine region, the "Grangeons" are these small buildings where the winegrower pressed the grapes and stored his tools. We liked to meet there with friends, for snacks, evenings or for the traditional Saint-Vincent.
Some of them offer the possibility for runners to refuel and for walkers to benefit more widely from the food served by the owners. Several musical formations are also present on the course to encourage the brave participants.
