Reduced mobility adaptation

In 1988, two brothers settled on 1ha of their parents' estate. 30 years later, there are 16 hectares exploited by the new generation in organic and biodynamic agriculture. A beautiful family story for this vineyard with its breathtaking landscape.

In the heart of Bugey, a vineyard nestled between Savoie, Jura and the Rhône Valley, is the small village of Crept. Here, the raw beauty of the landscape reveals a contrasting relief whose view is striking.

It mainly produces sparkling Montagnieu, but also Roussette and Mondeuse, traditional grape varieties of the hillside to which special attention is paid. Other cuvées complete the wine library: Gamay, Pinot, Chardonnay.
The vines are planted on the steep slopes of Montagnieu, between 30% and 70% slope. Over the years, the Bonnard winegrowers have managed to unearth the terroirs that allow them to create the wines they love.

Focus on: biodynamics
The estate has always worked with peasant common sense; then from vintage to vintage, biodynamics became obvious. In order to respect and reveal as best as possible the authenticity of the terroirs but also the health of the operators.
The vineyard is thus cared for using plant decoctions, plant sprays or even depending on the positioning of the moon.
In line with the work carried out in the vineyard, the Bonnard family vinifies and matures its wines by letting nature take its course. In order to offer healthy wines, without inputs, apart from a minimal amount of sulfur when bottling.
A natural approach that defines Domaine Bonnard wines in three words: healthy, magnetic, alpine.
