The Pérouges market takes a break in 2023
NEXT EDITION IN 2024!

Certainly no market this year, but that leaves the right to dream. This historic Christmas market is a real postcard. In the enchanting setting of the medieval city of Pérouges, the holiday spirit is at its peak. In the middle of the half-timbered houses, the stalls give a festive air to the village square. On the pebbles, crowds flock to enjoy the beautiful products of artisans and creators.

Then at nightfall, the whole village is adorned with a thousand and one spark plugs. Streets and alleys, no doors and windows sparkle with the sandstone of the sparks of candle lights. A winter wonderland takes hold. And this good smell of spices, wouldn't it be hot wine ? Lets go see…

Up there on the mountain, there was a nice market: Ordonnaz

Le oldest Christmas market in the region opens the ball of festivities, from the End of november. In the heart of the Bugey mountains, the Ordonnaz heritage market aims to highlight the local artisans-creators-producers. Here the merchants make Christmas by hand and the gift ideas are available in artisanal versions.

This charming hamlet perched near the calvary of Portes invites you to stroll. On a 1km circuit, washhouses and old buildings house the stalls, for a life-size nativity scene. And to complete the warming of the atmosphere, the communal ovens ignite. Over here the good smell of wood-fired pies ! Before leaving, stop by and say hello to the pretty church of Ordonnaz and its Sully tree, several centuries old. And with snow, it's even more beautiful!
