Khrôma Festival Tenay, one of the many September events from Pérouges to Bugey. What to occupy the return to school by strolling along street art frescoes in the middle of the mountains of Bugey.
At the start of the school year, everyone wants to extend the summer, even the big ones. Wishes granted near Pérouges and Bugey (Ain) with a bunch of owls events en September. The unavoidable Heritage Days and the beautiful Ambronay festival are joined by a novelty for the fall. The biennial of Khroma festival de Tenay! A course street art to make the valley vibrate Albarine (Ain).

Khrôma Festival Tenay: coloring the life
Street art festival bugey (Ain): unusual! Our favorite of autumn at Pérouges Bugey Tourisme. For a weekend, graffiti artists breathe new life into Tenay. Under the brushes and aerosols of the artists of street art, the discreet village, deserted in recent decades, is taking on new life.
Thus, throughout the year, over a course of colorful murals, visitors (re)discover the facades in a different light. The industrial past of the town and its surrounding wild nature are drawn on the walls. In the heart of the beautiful Albarine Valley, Tenay is now a curiosity. When rural history meets urban modernity: refreshing!

The top 3 frescoes by the tourist office
Some painted facades have been beautifying the city center since 2021 and new ones are emerging with each new edition. L'Tourist Office wanted to share with you his favorites.
The Schappe and the Albarine
Obviously, a title like that wins the heart of the tourist office. The Schappe*, it was the flourishing silk thread industry that brought the valley to its heyday. And the beautiful Albarine river is dear to fishermen and hikers who love wild nature. A whole program of beautiful tourist discoveries.
Special mention to this fresco created by the female collective by Mur69.

The forgotten secret guardians*

A double portrait full of emotions, the lynx and the young girl... Serene, the guardians watch over theBugey entrance and the heights of the Albarine Valley.
Their gaze is both piercing and gentle, like this region, full of charm and secrets. Who knows, while you're walking around, you might come across Lynx at the bend of a path. Open your eyes. In the meantime, impossible to get tired of admiring this one.

The old post office
Alexis Rapet is a magician. Three colors and old postcards were enough for him to create the illusion of an office Old-fashioned post.
It's so pretty that we would happily queue at the counter in the hope of meeting a postman in a cap! A magical brushstroke and “poof”, we are transported to the 50s. Here, by the way, the Grand Café just opposite is just waiting for us for a little cream in the middle of the talkative workers.
