The industrial past of the town and its surrounding wild nature are drawn on the walls. In the heart of the beautiful Albarine Valley, Tenay is now a curiosity. Some painted facades have been beautifying the city center since 2021 and new ones will see the light of day during the next festival. L'Tourist Office wanted to share with you his favorites, for the moment.
- The Schappe and the Albarine
Already, inevitably, a title like that wins the heart of the tourist office. The Schappe*, the flourishing industry of the silk thread which made the beautiful days of the valley. And the beautiful Albarine river, so dear to fishermen and hikers in love with wild nature. A whole program of beautiful tourist discoveries. Special mention to this fresco created by the exclusively female collective of Mur69. (*history to discover at the Bugiste Traditions Museum in St-Rambert-en-Bugey).
- The old post office
Alexis Rapet is a magician. Three colors and old postcards were enough for him to create the illusion of a post office old. It's so pretty that you would gladly line up at the counter in the hope of bumping into a postman in a cap! A magic brushstroke and "poof", here we are transported in the 50s. Well, by the way, the Grand Café just opposite is just waiting for us for a little cream in the middle of the talkative workers.
- The forgotten secret guardians* *(The Forgotten Secret Keepers)
