It's beautiful : the medieval film set and the panoramic view that dominates everything.

Allymes Castle : sunset at the summit

Let’s stay on theme with another castle! In addition, the guy is close to remains of St-Germain. From almost 900 meters above sea level, Les Allymes – its nickname – overlooks the valley at its foot.

First of all, a visit to the premises is essential. THE theater visits worth the detour with the family! And after discovering the interiors, the last rays of the sunset welcome you for a suspended moment. Always refreshing at the end of a hot summer day (or during the cold winter weather).

It's beautiful : Have a snack at the foot of the ramparts, looking at the view.

Montagnes depuis le col du petit Perthuis à Innimond

In any season, this is THE place to stop during golden hour***. A place to admire the snow-capped mountains or the vast green valley in summer. Here, the Mont Blanc sometimes rears its ugly head. It's adorned with pink and purple, just for your eyes. There, a pass culminates – the little Perthuis – which will make you feel like you are at the end of the world…of Bugey.

It's beautiful : the 360°C panorama, exceptional in winter, especially when Mont-Blanc is there!

Belvedere of Chateau de Chazey : the quiet spot

The bonus site is the charming belvedere of the Parc du Castle of Chazey-sur-Ain. This time, no climbing.

A balcony resembling an Italian balustrade extends above the Ain river. The perfect setting to welcome the last moments of the sunset. The spot to enjoy it with the children, run the dog or rummage through the book box.
