The Cascade de Luizet is one of the beautiful surprises of the Pernaz river, labeled "ENS*" by the Department of Ain in 2015.

A great classic, this canyon presents a succession of jumps and small waterfalls with many deep potholes. It offers magnificent landscapes in lush vegetation. Playful with some sensational verticals and slides.
This canyon is ideal to discover at the beginning of the season, in spring, or
after heavy rains which will increase the flow. Suitable for the initiation and discovery of supervised canyoning.

The first part is very calm and very pleasant, punctuated by many slides or jumps (your choice). The progression is stopped by a nice abseil of 15 meters (but no depth). There follow a few jumps which punctuate the second part, interspersed with narrower passages, where the water has smoothed the limestone walls. The course ends with a big jump of about 7 meters (chills guaranteed). An obvious path on the right bank leads back to the village.
