Height gain on the cliffs of the Guinguette via ferrata in Tenay/Hostiaz
With its 200m high in the middle of nature, the Guinguette via ferrata is well known to enthusiasts. A fun and sporty activity to try with friends! The splendid viewpoints over the Albarine valley are breathtaking.
The Guinguette via ferrata offers two routes with different approaches.
- The boxwood route : recommended for beginners. It offers a progressive evolution, to enjoy the heights and sensations, in complete tranquility. Ideal for a first approach, while keeping the spirit of sport and adventure.
- The route of the cave : to be reserved for the most initiated (or reckless) for its sporty aspect. The approach is more direct, with a short passage of cable above the void from the first meters. This is followed by a descent of a ladder, a passage on a beam and the arrival on a terrace to admire the view.
After that, an easier but very aerial part leads to the junction of the boxwood course. Two solutions: either continue on the large cliff (vertiginous passages!), or exit through the loopholes.
Attention ! Whatever the route and the level of difficulty, the via ferrata is an activity classified as risky. It is recommended to use a professional monitor. He will give you the right advice according to your level and will ensure safety in the event of a problem.
Access to the via ferrata : not recommended after heavy rains and during very hot periods. In summer, prefer the practice in the morning.
