The village of Bénonces with its picturesque character reveals its traditional habitat, bread ovens, houses with awnings and sides of scale tiles. It is home to the Charterhouse of Portes, a monastery dating from 1115 (cannot be visited).
Another exceptional point of view, that of the orientation table of Mont Frioland (1029 m) on the col de Portes. A short walk to reach the Calvaire de Portes and you can enjoy a view from Mont-Blanc to the Cévennes.
From the hamlet of Onglas, you can reach the Luizet waterfall in around 45 minutes on foot. Here, the river falls from a height of 100 m then descends in a gorge to join the Rhône.
