Reduced mobility adaptation
This wash house is covered and formed by a rectangular basin surrounded by beaters. The sides of the basin present externally thirteen small boxes arranged irregularly and intended to receive the soap and the brush. It was restored in 2013.
It was built in 1888 at a place called Vignolans and was moved in 1889 to the center of the hamlet. Fed by a source channeled from the Bovagne, it is covered and formed by a rectangular basin surrounded on all sides by beaters. The sides of the basin present externally thirteen small boxes arranged irregularly and intended to receive the soap and the brush. The washhouse is partially surrounded by walls on two sides. The framework rests on these walls and on four wooden pillars, each resting on a dice. Behind, placed against the wall, a fountain dates from the same period as the washhouse. Financed by the municipality for a sum of 7822f it was carried out according to the plans of Mr. Bouvier architect in St-Jean-de-Niost.
During construction work on housing estates, at a place called La Bovagne, the water was cut off. The wash house being no longer supplied, the population panicked. After some research and work, the water returned. Since then, it has not ceased to flow in the laundrette de la Côte.
