Crossing a small bridge spanning the railway line between Rignieu le Désert and Leyment. Barely a few meters to go, but the bridge is without sidewalks and very mobile. Dangerous passage, stay vigilant.

Departure point: public car park at the Château de Chazey/Ain (access via rue du Château).

Points of interest: Castles of Chazey-sur-Ain, Sainte-Julie and Servette. The castles are not open to visitors. Only the Château de Chazey park is accessible and has a travel book box.

The circuit can be shortened and made in two separate loops, either from Chazey or from Leyment.

The Chazey-Leyment loop (hollow of the cruis) -Sainte Julie (Trolliet/Village) - Chazey is 12km (60m of elevation gain) or about 3 hours of walking.
