Let's go for the top 15 best terraces of bars, cafes and restaurants of Pérouges in Bugey. And you, what is your kind of terrace? (*bubbling/lazing)

The little news

It's no secret that restaurants and bars have had to adapt in recent months. The bright side ? New terraces are appearing, for our greatest pleasure! And they are less frequented than in Lyon (we say that like that…).

terrasse lounge le Noa à Pont de Chazey (Ain) près de Pérouges

The Noah

A brand new arrival, this lounge bar restaurant, a stone's throw from the Ain river, has style. In addition to its beautiful renovated establishment, art deco-30s type, The Noah puts everything on its huge terrace. Club house atmosphere with cozy benches and renowned DJ sets. The perfect chill and cocktail address.

Special mention: the most beautiful renovation for this place that has remained unoccupied for 25 years!

The roommate

The Tourist Office already liked this very friendly address, just like its name. But the brand new perched terrace, with a view of the Château de Chazey, makes this pizzeria a must! It's time to plan a nice evening with friends at the Roommate.

terrasse de la pizzeria la-coloc à Chazey sur Ain, près de Pérouges

Special mention: best address "relaxing evening with friends" with its games of skill at the aperitif.

The unmissable terraces of Pérouges

If we speak the medieval town of Pérouges, impossible to ignore its historic terraces. Right in the heart of the multi-centennial village or offering unique viewpoints, the classics never die. With less than 45 minutes from Lyon, it would be wrong to deprive yourself of it.

The tower relay

Place du tilleul, it is always pleasant to have a drink on the terrace of the tower relay. Especially since the house has equipped itself with a medieval beer with spices, made to measure. To be enjoyed under the parasols, watching the children play around the tree.

Special mention: The perfect location for a snack or aperitif break

The gallery of the Hostellerie du Vieux Pérouges

On the same place du tilleul, the iconic terrace of Pérouges is the gallery of the hostelry. A remnant of the market hall, it is recognizable by its dried corn hanging above the tables. A timeless setting, to savor an aperitif platter to share with friends or a gastronomic dinner as a couple.
Special mention: the exceptional setting for a timeless moment.

Halle de l'ostellerie, terrasses de Pérouges

The Perouges Terraces

At the aptly named restaurant " The terraces " it is possible to enjoy a meal perched, as if hanging from the rampart. The wooden deck is perched along the old walkway, as if to watch over the plain. Here, the view is on the green and calm surroundings, rather than on the pebbles of the city. And it's original enough to be worth a look.
Trophy: The original orientation, which gives the impression of eating in the trees.

The Black Huntsman

Just at the entrance to Pérouges, the terrace of the Dark Huntsman makes an overhanging angle, under the branches of a superb chestnut tree. Before or after the walk in the medieval city, why not stop to enjoy an Italian ice cream?
Special mention: The naturally shaded terrace

Large terraces and beer bars

Serendipity, beer bars between Pérouges and Bugey all have large and beautiful terraces. The perfect places to invite all your friends to enjoy summer evenings. Moreover, these addresses are frequented by locals. We say that, we say nothing...

The Essential

Terrasses dans l'Ain à côté de Lyon,

Another place with a well-chosen name. An address that has established itself as a must in the heart of the discreet village of Blyes. The huge enclosed grounds with lounge benches at the back no doubt have a lot to do with it. That, or the large choice of beers and artisanal ice creams. Perhaps also the evenings with funny themes... It's up to you to see, we like everything at the essential.

Special mention: The terrace with a very summery atmosphere, cut off from the world.

La Grange

Terrasse restaurant à Lagnieu (Ain)

Again, the beer menu is to die for. The very large terrace is as pretty as the dining room of this former barn, renovated with taste. The owners welcome you with a smile and homemade fries, to try absolutely. The atmosphere is festive and friendly, around a tap.

Special mention: only bar with Guinness on tap, thanks to a magic machine!

The Triplets Social Club

More than a bar, an unusual and multifaceted place these Threesomes Social Club. Already, in the courtyard, concerts and burlesque evenings take place. Good point for the festive atmosphere. But the strong point of this place is its roof terrace, perfect for toasting. Former hotel run by triplets, the place has kept a vintage industrial spirit of the most successful. It's almost like being in Lyon, calm and more.
Special mention: The atypical third place, to test absolutely, especially for the rooftop!

The surprising terraces

There are sometimes, like that, at random from the communes of Pérouges du Bugey, small nuggets. Confidential, funny or with a spectacular view of the landscape, there is bound to be something surprising.

The Soudon Inn

Here is the good plan for hikers, bikers on the go and other passing sportsmen. A tapas café bar with a chef at the helm and above all: a sheltered panoramic terrace! Breathtaking view of the Bugey mountains, the Alps and the Rhône which meanders at our feet. Especially since the Balcons de Souclin hike goes through there. What motivates you to climb up to the Soudon inn.

Special mention: best view of Bugey from a terrace.

The Eccentric

Terrasse insolite dans le Bugey

A multifunctional place with a cheerfully quirky decor. It must be said that this bar, restaurant, tobacco, press is the only address in the whole village of Briord. For a drink break after the family outing, or a coffee in the morning while going to buy the newspaper. Here the pink plastic flamingos make conversation with a laughing Buddha and it's fun. The petanque court adds to the friendly side of the place. Worthy of the most conceptual bars in Lyon.

Special mention: without a doubt, the craziest terrace, and we love it.
The Eccentric

The creperie of Port-Galland

If you love Breton delicacies, make a stopover at the Port Galland creperie. The concealed terrace even contains a charming vegetable garden where the vegetables for your galettes come from!
Special mention: Nothing to do with the terrace but the homemade salted butter caramel is a nugget.

The waterfront terraces

These are rare and that's what makes them even nicer. The terraces at the water's edge, it must be admitted that it is still a must. Here, the banks of the Rhône are even more conducive to relaxation than in the heart of Lyon.

The green dot

The good plan at the water's edge. It's simple, only a low wall separates the beach from the Green Point from the restaurant of the same name. With the view of the Rhône and the Bugey mountains, it is difficult to be more natural. The perfect setting for an iced tea to end the family swimming day. Unless you prefer to dine al fresco with friends. Midnight bathing is permitted. The part of Mölkky on the recommended beach.

Special mention: the real beach bar, relaxed atmosphere guaranteed.

O run of the water

The terrace of this bistro has many advantages. Large, overlooking the Rhône and on the passage of the Viarhôna cycle path. In other words, the ideal place for a break during the bike ride in summer. All you have to do is sip a drink to the sound of the water breaking under your feet.

Special mention: As in Lyon, the nice bar on the banks of the Rhône.

The blue bicycle

Psst, the very pretty terrace on the cover of the article, it is the unmissable Blue Bicycle to Merry. Even if we are not, strictly speaking, feet in the water, the ponds of the Dombes are not far. This hut-like restaurant will delight your summer with a menu of local flavors.

And you, what will your summer look like?
