In the East, the orientation allows departures quite early, from sunrise or around 10am for the first thermals.
The decor accepts wind from NE, E, SE. Very short takeoff necessarily requiring headwind. Good speed essential. Turbulent aerology with strong northerly winds.
As a general rule, the breeze is rather cross-right, it is linked to a system of rising valley breezes, in low layers (ground at 1200m), towards the North (Valromey, Tenay Valley).
Take-off accessible to people with reduced mobility

In the West, the Cha or “school slope” is more favorable to dynamics. Large 2km ridge, clear at the top for its entire length. Deco easy and possible everywhere. Deco planned at the very end of the ridge, just in front of the landing.
The slight inclination of the slope requires a minimum of 15km/h of wind from S to WNW to hold. The thermals brought back by a strong wind will take you too far behind (vast forest plateau). In light winds, the small elevation makes it harder to find a pump that won't stick to the terrain. In summer, during strong heat and weak wind, presence of dust. Deco without wind possible on the whole ridge.

EAST FLIGHT
- Saint-Germain-les-Paroisses, large field near the sawmill on the other side of the stream. After heavy rain, the ground can be very wet (peat bog). Power line approaching the terrain side. PLEASE NOTE: no other landing is authorized in the town.
