Among the essentials of this circuit:
Lhuis and its listed church. Charming village with beautiful stone houses, old wash house and old mill.

Along the canal between Groslée and Belley: panorama over the Rhône and the Savoyard foreland, over the cluse des Hôpitaux. The Glandieu waterfall, the Pierre Châtel parade, the Arboréaz lake.

Innimond is a must-see perched village. At the Petit Perthuis belvedere, the beautiful ridge hike starts. From its superb vantage point, visitors sometimes have the chance to see Mont-Blanc. In the village, the nearly thousand-year-old church and its multi-hundred-year-old Sully tree are worth the detour.

Ordonnaz also has a very old chapel and its Sully tree. The village cheese dairy opens the doors of its mini Comté museum, to learn more about cheese making in the region.

The mountainous part offers splendid landscapes, between vineyards and wild gorges: the vineyard of Montagnieu, its steep slopes plunging towards the river, its barns and its cellars welcome you for a tasting of sparkling white wine exclusively on local plots. In Bénonces, a walk can take you to the Luizet waterfall and its 100 m waterfall.

In Briord, the underground aqueduct offers a thrilling adventure in the light of the electric torch (closed shoes recommended) and a heritage path encourages strolls.
