The Col du Ballon (929 m) on the edge of the Plateau d'Hauteville promises you a 9 km climb from Tenay by the western side which presents very steep and irregular passages.
The start of the route is on the side of the mountain by a small narrow straight road and offers a view that overlooks the valley as far as Culoz to finish with a series of very dry hairpins which follow a steep climb up to on the board. The central part is relatively supported with its small laces. A pass whose appearances should not be trusted!
