It seems that the French people are the only ones to salivate over the dish they are talking about while they still have their mouths full of the one they are eating. So today we are going in unison to make your stomach chord vibrate. Your taste buds will quiver and you won't be able to sit still. Because we are going to talk about RESTAURANTS AND BARS!

Yes, after nearly 6 months of forced closure of dining rooms and places to relax zinc that sticks, we have decided to remind you that these establishments still exist. Some have reception facilities, others are waiting for a providential opening, but isn't it time to choose which restaurant or bar you would like to (re)discover?

"Le p'tit Resto" small but strong! By Vincent

I only ate once at the Petit Resto, it was for a Christmas dinner. And my faith we were not disappointed. The creativity of dishes and their realization left me stunned (we don't use this word often enough).

I especially remember one foie gras creme brulee! If on paper this wonder can arouse doubt, know that on the plate it dispels it for you. Add to that a cute little room (the name must surely come from there) in which we ate elbow to elbow, a feeling now forgotten, which we will find again one day I hope.

« Tourmaline » , the beautiful magician By katy

Tourmaline is my gourmet address in Ambérieu! Why eat a meal on the go at noon when the formula of the day is so successful? Fresh, well-seasoned products, fine cuisine, a warm welcome and good advice, this is the formula offered daily! The traditional setting highlights the creativity of the plates. Happy and satiated gourmets, we promised ourselves to come back to treat ourselves!

“La Grange”, warm with a mousse By Sabrina

At La Grange, the first sip of beer* is savored under the beautiful old framework. Formerly abandoned, the premises have regained luster and a crazy style. Almost as crazy as the list of beers from around the world. Impossible not to find hops in your palate! The atmosphere is friendly, whether for an aperitif beer / homemade fries (too good) on the terrace, a cozy afterwork in winter or a relaxing time with the family on the mezzanine area. I even met dynamic grannies there who had come to slum with friends in front of a little foam. Health !

* to keep it pleasant, alcohol should be consumed in reasonable quantities.

"The Old Farmer", my son's favorite burgers By Alexandra

My little man is only 10 years old and he already eats like a big one! Out of the question to take him to a fast food chain. He likes full plates and good products. So for this mother-son meal, head to the Steakhouse: a good burger and generous portions of fries. The service is pleasant and the trendy USA decoration makes us crave FarWest. Aperitif, burger, dessert and coffee, everything is approved by my little gourmet!
Next time we'll be a part of Laser Game, it's right next door!

"L'Auberge du Coq", like a rooster in dough By Polina

The medieval city of Pérouges straddles the plain of the Ain and the Dombes, this land of a thousand lakes. And who says "pond", says... frogs ! L'Auberge du coq is the only restaurant in Pérouges that offers this tasty dish that smells like parsley.

My visit dates back to winter. Nestled in a cobbled alley, the Auberge welcomes its customers in a cozy atmosphere: wooden decor and crackling fire in the fireplace. Once the order is served, I discover a generous plate of frogs “cooked like in Dombes”, accompanied by its gratin dauphinois. A delight! Without forgetting the dessert which makes the fame of the village, the sugar cookie, served with its duo of fresh cream and fruit coulis… Fortunately, we had planned a digestive walk in Pérouges just after !

“Casa Viale, la famiglia”, the extra pizza By katy

Solo evening = pizzeria illico presto! An adorable waiter offers me a sparkling**, as an aperitif. Perfect !  Pleased by this suggestion I ask where this wonder comes from. The answer comes as no surprise: from Italy! Amused by this obviousness, I seek to have precisions. Very honest, he tells me he doesn't know and goes to get the bottle. We then talk about the geography of the country, (partly mine) and that he then discovers. This very simple moment of sharing and discussing wines embraces Italian conviviality, just like the generous pizza with creamy burrata that I had chosen.
Forza casa Viale e grazie mille**!

"L'Incontournable", as its name suggests By katy

Determined to go out with the girls, we opt, without knowing it, for the Oktoberfest evening! We hurry to order the evening specials, homemade hot dog with local products and beer cocktails****!

As usual it was a success! Hearty, tasty and generous, our snack turns out to be a real convivial dish. Our fragrant and audacious beverages seduced us, a little more than the Teutonic music in the background! Our ears do not know how to appreciate the special charms of sung German!

**** Since we tell you to go in moderation!

“The old cure”, simple, local and good By Isabelle

Direction the town of Arandas, perched on the heights of the Albarine Valley. I suggested to two of my colleagues to discover this charming little inn.

After walking a winding road in a rural setting, we arrived in the courtyard of the restaurant. We are welcomed by Isabelle, the manager, who invites us to sit on the terrace to enjoy the radiant sunshine and the tranquility of the village! Smiling from the start, Isabelle welcomes us with simplicity and professionalism ; bragging to us viewpoints et activities that visitors can practice nearby. She tells us about her living (and working) environment in communion with nature; the Bugey an ideal playground for walks with his dogs!

On the menu of the day, seasonal products from local and surrounding producers ; it is the basis of their cuisine. With her husband, Yannig, they have many projects to promote and attract people: hikers, bikers, cyclists, contemplatives... and foodies, like us! Especially through the ramekin, this little cow's cheese, typical of the area, made, among others, by Emily Manos, in her GAEC the “Perce Neige”.

We enjoyed this warm moment shared around a tasty meal. A taste of freedom that we all want to find as soon as possible.

“La crêperie du port Galland”, Bretons are everywhere! By Sabrina

An address with real pieces of Brittany inside. Organic, local and above all homemade, is the motto of the chef-crêpier, proud of his origins. In summer, I like to take advantage of the charming, quiet terrace, where the vegetables for their galettes are grown. But what keeps me coming back is the owner's delicious salted butter caramel ! You can even order a jar of it. A great gift idea or holiday souvenir. To prolong the pleasure, the shop offers a concentrate of Breton gastronomy.
