120 km from Lyon for a 60 km loop, around 3 hours.
The road to Bénonces from Serrières-de-Briord is a steep, fairly dizzying procession that immediately puts you in the mood. The verdant Tréfond gorges form an impressive valley.

It is possible to take advantage, in the hamlet of Onglas, of the pedestrian walk of the Luizet waterfall (1h30 round trip). Water according to season (little in summer). Direction the village of Seillonnaz and its many winegrowers (visit of the cellars and tasting possible - NB: drink or drive, you have to choose, let's reserve the tasting for passengers).

Passing through Lompnas (pronounced Lôna), "Chez Robert" can be an opportunity for a lunch break under the sign of local cuisine, or to take away. Otherwise, every first Sunday of the month, it's pies and pizza in the wood oven!

The road to Ordonnaz gives pride of place to hairpin bends and winding paths between undergrowth and open landscapes. The very pretty and old church of Ordonnaz is worth a look for its colorful contemporary stained glass windows. On the square, a multi-hundred-year-old Sully tree recalls the attachment of Bugey to France.

It is necessary to make a stop at the Ordonnaz cheese dairy, adjoining the County Museum. Coralie the manager, will delight you with a tasting of her excellent cheeses, and the stories of how Comté is made.

The very long descent to Innimond is a real pleasure between fields and forest. The arrival on Innimond is spectacular, in all seasons, with its church perched on a promontory, the alpine chain standing out in the background.

As in Ordonnaz, a short tour of the church and its Sully is a must, then head for the Perthuis belvedere (green signs from the village). Highlight of the day, this spectacular viewpoint offers a panoramic view of Bugey and the Alps. In winter, Mont-Blanc rears its snowy head on the mountain line. Splendid !

On the descent, it is possible to make a detour via Marchamp and its museum full of beautiful fossils, or to take a walk through the former Cerin quarry, a thematic path and protected natural area.

Those who prefer the call of the belly, will make a jump to the producer's shop "Au Millieu des Fruits", in order to taste jams, honey and processed fruits. A few meters away, a beautiful belvedere offers a pleasant view of Lac de Millieu, a pond that is also protected.

Between Lhuis, a pretty town and its listed church worth seeing, and Montagnieu, the roads cross vineyards and hillsides. Superb in the fall!
Montagnieu, a flowery wine-growing village, produces the sparkling white wine "Montagnieu". To be tasted at local winegrowers (Cave Peillot welcomes every afternoon, except Sunday).

To end the day, how about a refreshing swim at the Point Vert leisure center in Serrières-de-Briord? Or even book a pedal boat at the Nauticlub to enjoy the quiet end of the day
