Le Chanay paragliding take-off site

Pet Friendly

At the edge of the very wild Hauteville plateau. Green as far as the eye can see and beautiful cliffs are the decor of this south-facing take-off site. In the morning with a light breeze from the east, it is also possible to land in Oncieu, aiming for the cliffs of Argis.

THE DECO
Short and overhanging to the East. Takeoff is at the edge of an altitude plateau. In general, do not rely on the strength of the wind at the landing or the water tower, which will seem relatively weak. Upstairs is another story…
Very short takeoff! Be careful not to get boarded backwards if the wind is strong and therefore do not set your sail too far back... Mastery of the Face sail advised.

LANDING
Huge landing, visible on the right from the decor: large sloping field, land on horizontal ground. Landing possible in both directions depending on the direction of the wind to be spotted before.
Be careful not to cross the ridge to the west of the field, otherwise you will be "buried" and not be able to return to the landing zone.

Restrictions:
Avoid hunting season. Evolution under TMA 4 of Lyon (Max altitude = 1950m)
