From Perouges to Bugey
Roche de Narse climbing site
Difficulties and atmospheres vary to satisfy the pleasures of all lovers of vertical sensations. Beginner or real climber, this extraordinary site is for everyone a moment of pure pleasure in an exceptional and preserved setting. Masterful!
The routes all bear poetic names such as "Retour aux sources", "Balade des étoiles" or the "Petit Prince", in homage to the adventurer St-Exupéry, who spent a joyful childhood in this sector of Bugey. A real invitation to vertical travel!
Initiation sector and long routes, everyone will find their height among the 60 pitches between 4 and 7c. Good plan to make efforts while staying cool: many routes are in the shade in the afternoon in summer.
A topo guide of the Roche de Narse is available by post on request from Eric Chaxel (Equiilbre Vertical), at the bakery in St-Rambert-en-Bugey or from Bugey Plaine de l'Ain Tourisme.
