About 180km from Lyon, a loop in the mountains of some 65 km, plus a hike. Course of about 4 hours.

From Torcieu/Montferrand, the road climbs, pleasant, to the charming village of Cleyzieu. On site, breathtaking view of the village from the heights of the town hall. In the village, panels tell anecdotes and history of the place.

A loop of a few kilometers in the loop allows, if desired, to discover the very small hamlet of Dorvan, and its GAEC of goat cheeses. Return to Cleyzieu.

The road then heads towards the Rhône, towards Souclin. The undergrowth is pleasant and the road is not very busy. The arrival at Souclin faces an open landscape, with a view of the Alps, the Rhône meandering below. A one kilometer hook offers a stop at the Auberge de Soudon, for a cold drink, with a breathtaking view on the terrace.

By taking the road to Bénonces, it is possible to park the motorcycle in the parking lot of the Luizet waterfall (road signs). A 1h30 round trip walk partly in the undergrowth leads to the waterfall almost 100m high (water depending on the season). NB: nature is for everyone, it is important to respect it. Thank you for taking away the waste and for adopting an appropriate behavior.

A final detour via the Col de Portes viewpoint for a splendid panorama of Bugey. (parking on the side of the road. 600m on foot via the path opposite). The loop ends with the wild and verdant valley of Conand.
A drinking water point is located in the village of Charvieux.
Service station in St-Rambert-en-Bugey or Ambérieu.
